Comprehensive Tenant Screening is critical. We understand that a problematic tenant can be very costly in terms of time, money, and frustration. While no background check can eliminate risk, our screening process will substantially lower the possibility of future problems ~ we do our homework. Once an application is received, our process includes:
- Photo ID verification (applications are required for those over 18 living on the property)
- Both national and state background checks, including sex offender, terrorist, and criminal checks
- Credit report check, including score, comprehensive payment history, and past evictions
- Full review of any accounts in collections or judgments filed
- Verification of current employer
- Obtaining copies of current bank statements if self-employed
- Confirmation of rental history, including contact with previous landlords concerning payment history, property conditions, and nuisance issues.
